Below are planned events for the coming few months. These take place in the Coach House, 1A Melrose Road, unless noted otherwise.

Several events and activities are open to members only: a gardening group, a bridge club and bridge tuition, wine tasting and social gatherings.  Advance notice of events is published in the Society’s Newsletter. Click here to join the Society .

Bridge is played weekly in the Coach House, Melrose Road on Monday evenings. Table money is £2 per person including beverages. Start time 7-30pm.
Bridge for beginners and improving players is played on Thursday evenings at the same time.Please contact M Forbes for details. 0208 542 8314

Exhibition "Where Do You Think You Are?"For anyone who missed this very successful exhibition, the Coach House display will be on show on the Second Floor of the Morden Library from 21st September to 21st October.   

Garden Vision Workshops organised by Pauline and Catherine Bottrill

Session 1: Encouraging Bees to your Garden - 26th October - 7:30pm to 9pm in the Coach House.
Alison Pelikan is going to run a full session on the life of bees and how we can encourage them into our gardens. Alison will tell us about the diversity of bees in the UK and the different types of plants and habitats they need as well as the threats affecting bee populations. 

Session 2: Growing and Looking After Holly - November 18th - 10:30am to 12:30pm starting in the Coach House.
Louise Bendall, a holly expert with a significant national collection of holly at Highfield Farm, Hants, is going to tell us about the varieties of holly and its cultrual significance in our community.  We will be discussing how to plant and maintain holly. For this session we will start in the Coach House with an interactive session led by Louise and then we will go on a walking tour in the conservation area finishing at our home with lunch.  If you have particular issues or questions please do send them to us beforehand with photos so we can include them in the discussion.

For Session 1 please let her know by 20th October.
For Session 2 please let her know by 3rd November. 
There is no charge to participate in the sessions, but if you would like to contribute to refreshments please let her know. 

Open Gardens Day - Sunday, 10 June 2018

Coffee and social mornings are at 11am and are held at the Coach House on Melrose Road.  They are held on the second Wednesday of each month.  

Gardening group meetings will be on the second Friday of the month. We meet at 9am by the mulberry tree in John Innes Park.

Bingo meetings have been discontinued.
